CNPDS

The National Centre for Prevention and Social Defence (CNPDS) was founded in Milan in 1948 by Adolfo Beria di Argentine, with the aim of studying the conditions and various aspects of prevention and to contribute to identifying the features and dynamics of social change. This involved focusing on emerging social problems, in order to stimulate through public debate the attention and interest of national and international institutions ins the proposals arising from the different initiatives undertaken.
In 1989, in recognition of its international activity, the CNPDS was endowed with Advisory Status by the UN’s Economic and Social Council.
