Directive for handling ordinary data pursuant to Art.13 of Decree Law No.196 of 2003 in relation to the protection of personal data.THE FONDAZIONE CENTRO INTERNAZIONALE SU DIRITTO, SOCIETÀ E ECONOMIA (INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION CENTRE ON LAW, SOCIETY AND ECONOMICS) which offers services on the web-site www.fondazionecourmayeur.it and related services, safeguards the use of data and personal information provided for the purpose of registering for the services offered by the site, pursuant to Decree Law No.196 of 2003 for the protection of persons and other subjects in matters concerning the protection of personal data. In accordance with, and for the purposes of, Art.13 of the above Law, it is provided that:
1. Access to, and consultation of, the site automatically requires registration of the following data:
• internet site and IP protocol
• type of browser and operating system of the computer used
• data, current and permanent, on the site
• pages visited
• if applicable, the research engine used to gain access to the site
Such data must in no way reveal the identity of the user.
The information acquired by automatic means may be utilized by the FONDAZIONE CENTRO INTERNAZIONALE SU DIRITTO, SOCIETÀ E ECONOMIA:
• in case of suspected breach of the applicable legal provisions
• for statistical purposes
• to improve navigation of the site and its contents
Personal and/or business data entered by the user on site www.fondazionecourmayeur.it, thereby authorizing its treatment in accordance with Law 196/2003, will be protected by FONDAZIONE CENTRO INTERNAZIONASLE SU DIRITTO, SOCIETÀ E ECONOMIA and used to respond to the user’s questions, in order to provide the requested information or to contact the user in relation to the services that are provided and the activities proposed and organised by the FONDAZIONE CENTRO INTERNAZIONALE SU DIRITTO, SOCIETÀ E ECONOMIA.
Such data may be utilised by computer facilities capable of ensuring the security and confidentiality appropriate to the production and management of archives, lists and publications under the provisions of the above-cited Law.
The FONDAZIONE CENTRO INTERNAZIONALE SU DIRITTO, SOCIETÀ E ECONOMIA accepts no liability for the total security of any information transmitted through the on-line products or services it offers.
The provision of personal data and consent to its use in accordance with the preceding legal provisions is mandatory in order to utilise the services offered. Failure to give consent to treatment in accordance with the foregoing paragraph, or its subsequent withdrawal, will entail the annulment of the requests and cancellation of the offer of the services of the site.
Personal data that has been provided may be communicated to:
• organizations linked to the FONDAZIONE responsible for specific tasks related to the object of the present directive
• third parties for carrying out the services provided on the internet site www.fondazionecourmayeur.it
• public or private bodies for the fulfilment of the obligations prescribed by Law 196/2003
In relation to the above-mentioned treatment, the user may exercise the rights set out in Art.7 of Law 196/2003, the whole text of which is set out below:
"1. The interested party has the right to obtain the confirmation of the existence or otherwise of personal data in relation to himself, even if they are not yet registered, and their communication in intelligible form.
2. The interested party has the right to be informed of:
a) the origin of the personal data;
b) the aims and manner of its handling;
c) the logistics applied in treatment involving the use of computers;
d) limits stipulated for the owner’s and his designated representative’s liability in accordance with Art.5 para.2 above;
e) persons or classes of person to whom personal data may be communicated or whom it could reach as a designated representative in the State or as being responsible for it or entrusted with it.
3. The interested party has the right to obtain:
a) updating, rectification or, when appropriate, integration of the data;
b) cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blockage of data that has been handled in breach of the Law, including cases where its possession is not necessary for the purposes for which the data shall have been acquired or subsequently treated;
c) an affidavit that the operations in a) and b) above and their content have been brought to the attention of anyone receiving the data by communication or distribution, except in cases where this is not possible or necessitates the use of means manifestly disproportionate to the protected right.
4. The interested party has the right to oppose, wholly or partially:
a) for legitimate reasons, the treatment of personal data concerning him, even if pertinent to the object of the acquisition;
b) the treatment of personal data concerning him for the purposes of delivering publicity material or direct sale or market research or commercial communication."
Ownership for the purposes of treatment of the data is vested in the FONDAZIONE CENTRO INTERNAZIONALE SU DIRITTO, SOCIETÀ E ECONOMIA, whose headquarters are at Via dei Bagni, 15.
